AquaDERMIS was developed based on cutting-edge research in the field of electrochemical activation of water. Our team combined expertise in medicine, microbiology, and environmental chemistry to create a solution that closely mimics the natural hypochlorous acid (HOCl) produced by the human immune system.
As a result, we created a safe and effective formula that is already used in a wide range of applications. HOCl is a weak acid that naturally occurs in the body. Neutrophils — white blood cells that are the first to respond to pathogens — chase down and engulf harmful microbes through a process called phagocytosis. Upon contact, neutrophils release a burst of bactericidal agents, including the most powerful oxidant: hypochlorous acid (HOCl).
This acid destroys pathogens by breaking down their cell membranes and proteins.
